VictoryPoker CEO Dan Fleyshman Leads Europe’s Most Prestigious Final Table

LAS VEGAS, NV–(Marketwire – September 28, 2010) –  VictoryPoker CEO Dan Fleyshman has reached the final table of this year’s World Series of Poker Europe Main Event. He’ll start the last day of play on Tuesday as the chip leader with 1,946,000. The £10,350 Event #5, hosted by London’s Casino at the Empire, attracted 346 players — comprising a nearly £3.5 million prize pool. Today at noon, Fleyshman will compete against eight other players for the prestigious gold and diamond bracelet, £830,401 in first place prize money, and the title. Previous champions include Annette Obrestad, John Juanda, and Barry Shulman.

In yesterday’s video interview with PokerListings.com, Fleyshman stated, “My game is to play some poker, see some cards, and really have a strategy. I’m going for the win.”

The final nine, in standing order, are Dan Fleyshman, Ronald Lee, Danny Steinberg, Roland deWolfe, James Bord, Brian Powell, Fabrizio Baldassari, Nicolas Levi, and Marc Inizan. ESPN3.com’s broadcast of the final table will begin Tuesday at noon ET.

Fleyshman began playing poker recreationally in 2005, and often refers to himself as a recreational player. Before today, his documented career tournament winnings totaled approximately $100,000. In 2006 he won the first annual $5,000 CEO Poker Championship at the Palms, and in 2008 he won the $10,000 Chipleader Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel. He followed that up by winning the $2,500 Canadian Poker Tour Main Event in 2009.

At 28 years old, Fleyshman is CEO of VictoryPoker.com, a philanthropist, and currently resides in Malta.
