LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM–(Marketwire – July 30, 2010) – Online poker site PKR.com and the Fox Poker Club have signed a sponsorship deal for London’s first fully licensed poker venue. The new venture – The Fox Poker Club in association with PKR.com – will open on August 7 and be located on Shaftesbury Avenue, in the heart of London’s famed West End.
The club, named after the famous 18th century politician Charles Fox, and connected to Mayfair’s renowned private member’s club, will occupy 6,500 square feet with seating for 200 players, as well as a poker library, smoker’s deck and a bar/lounge. The club will provide a full spectrum of poker with daily tournaments and cash games and includes free afternoon tutorials.
