Tenth Powerball Jackpot Win in Arizona Lottery History

PHOENIX, AZ–(Marketwire – December 2, 2010) – Arizona Lottery representatives are looking for the Arizona player who won last night’s Powerball jackpot, to claim his or her $95.3 million prize.

The winning numbers are 5-10-11-12-20, Powerball 2. The winning ticket was purchased at the Safeway located at 4823 S. Highway 95, in Fort Mohave, Ariz.

“The dream of striking it rich came true yesterday for a lucky Powerball winner here in Arizona,” said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. “The winning ticket was sold in Ft. Mohave, so it’s not surprising the winner hasn’t come forward yet. When they do, it’s going to be a pleasure for me to sign a check for more than $95 million, provide a very memorable holiday this year and shake the hand of someone whose life will never be the same.”

Since the last win on Nov. 6, the Powerball jackpot rolled seven times without a grand prize winner. During that time, Powerball sales paid out $97.4 million to Arizona winners, returned $1.6 million to the state, and provided $360,000 in commissions to Arizona retailers.

The winner will have the option of a 30-year annuity for the entire $95.3 million prize or a cash lump sum of $49.9 million. The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize money at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail.

This win will also result in a $25,000 selling bonus to the Safeway store in Fort Mohave where the winning ticket was purchased.

The last Arizona Powerball grand prize winner claimed a $15 million jackpot in January 2007.

Winning numbers for Powerball are broadcast Wednesday and Saturday during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson and posted on www.ABC15.com.

Players can check their numbers by logging onto www.ArizonaLottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotline at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas. Players can also opt-in to receive winning number text alerts by texting “AZLOT” to 411247.

Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Overall odds vary by game. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, these materials may be made available in an alternate format. Gambling Problem? Call 1-800-NEXT STEP. Please Play Responsibly. ™
