Sunsail to Announce New Yachts for 2010-2011, Sailing Destinations in Grenada and Belize, and the Award-Winning Sunsail 384 Returns

CLEARWATER, FL–(Marketwire – October 5, 2010) – Sunsail, the company for sailors by sailors, returns to the Annapolis Sailboat Show, October 7-11, 2010, with a series of announcements that highlight their new base openings in Belize and Grenada, as well as the award-winning Sunsail 384 catamaran, named Cruising World‘s Boat of the Year and SAIL‘s Best Boat 2010. In addition, Sunsail will make announcements regarding the fleet expansion for the upcoming season.

NEW DESTINATIONS: Grenada & Belize
Sunsail’s newest charter destination officially opened in Grenada for sailing vacations October 1, 2010. From the new base at the full-service Camper & Nicholson’s Port Louis Marina in the capital of St. George’s, Sunsail will offer bareboat and skippered charters on a fleet of 36′ to 44′ monohulls and catamarans, including the Sunsail 39i, Sunsail 44i and award-winning Sunsail 384. This unique, untouched region in the Southern Caribbean provides excellent conditions for sailing vacations around Grenada and northward towards the Grenadines.

In December 2010, Sunsail’s 9th Caribbean destination will open in Belize, offering sailors the opportunity for an eco-adventure to explore one of Mother Nature’s best kept secrets. Located in Placencia, Sunsail’s Belize base is the perfect starting point for a wonderfully varied charter vacation along the Belizean coastline. Ideally suited for catamaran sailing, Sunsail will offer the new award-winning Sunsail 384 catamaran.

AWARD-WINNING CATAMARAN: Sunsail 384
The state-of-the-art Sunsail 384 catamaran will be available for viewing at the show. With spacious accommodation in 4-cabins/2-heads, an exterior raised helm station, and large cockpit hardtop, the 384 is the ultimate charter vacation platform. This yacht’s centralized sail control system ensures simple, comfortable helming along with superb features including electric windlass, powerboat-style stepped transom, and twin 29hp diesel engines for good motoring performance. FLEET EXPANSION
Sunsail has invested millions into their sailing fleet with 230 new yachts for 2011, specifically 142 charter yachts, 46 flotilla yachts and a matched-racing fleet of 42 yachts in the United Kingdom. Throughout the upcoming year, new models will debut, including the 3-cabin/2-head Sunsail 41; 3-cabin/1-head Sunsail F40; and the largest monohull in the fleet to date, the 5-cabin/4-head Sunsail 53.
