As the Chicago Marathon Approaches, Interpark Allows Runners to Focus on Race Day Preparations, Not Parking, and Offers “Green” Prizes
CHICAGO, IL–(Marketwire – October 4, 2010) – Marathoners in the throes of final preparation can breathe easy when it comes to planning race day logistics. InterPark has gone to great lengths to mitigate pesky planning essentials — like where to conveniently park on race day — and support Chicago’s “going green” mentality.
“The last thing people running a marathon should do is go for a long walk before the big race,” said InterPark’s President Marshall Peck. “With our numerous parking locations we offer runners an easier way to get to the starting area easily and without a long walk.”
Peck said that Chicago marathoners could park at InterPark’s garages at 17 E. Adams or 20 E. Randolph (as well as at dozens of other garages in the downtown area). He also said that the marathon echoes the theme of InterPark’s ‘Green Sweepstakes,’ which offers participants a chance to win a bevy of top-notch, environmentally friendly prizes, listed here:
One Grand Prize: a Tesla Roadster electric car. A two-year lease on a new, electric Tesla Roadster convertible, which goes 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and can drive 245 miles on one charge.
One First Prize: a Toyota Prius hybrid car. A three-year lease on a new Toyota Prius.
One Second Prize: Trek Bicycles. Two top-of-the-line Trek Bicycles worth $2,500 (for the pair).
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Illinois who are 21 years of age or older and in possession of a valid Illinois driver’s license. The sweepstakes runs through 10-31-2010. See participating garages or visit http://www.InterParkGreen.com for full details.
To enter: Pick up a contest game card at one of InterPark’s 12 participating Chicago area locations, or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: InterPark “Green” Game Piece, P.O. Box 6003, Morton Grove, IL 60053.
