ESSEX, UNITED KINGDOM–(Marketwire – Sept. 5, 2010) – Coach Direct, the leading UK coach hire specialists have announced the launch of a completely new service – the development of eCoachhire.com, which will offer customers a greener way of travelling.
The coach hire experts provide transport solutions to corporate, educational and private clients and the aim of their new service is to supply coaches which are powered by non-fossil fuels; namely, pure plant oil (PPO), used cooking oil (UCO), natural gas, electric and PetroAlgae, which is currently being trialled in the US.
At the moment, Coach Direct are pioneering the service with only a small number of companies offering vehicles that are powered by PPO or UCO. However, the company are focused on supplying greener options to their customers and it is hoped that as they become more available, they can build on their fleet of available eco-friendly coaches for hire.

However, we know that many of our clients also share our environmental conscience and so we have developed this service to meet their concerns. At the moment, the only other alternatives, biofuel and electric vehicles are in the embryonic stages of development. However, Coach Direct are keeping a watchful eye on the progress of these solutions and intend to add all effective methods of transport to their portfolio.
All of the coaches Coach Direct currently supply are compliant with the most stringent emissions standards and include the Euro 5, Euro 6 and EEV standards, as outlined by the European Parliament.
As well as their eco friendly coach hire enterprise, Coach Direct are also proud to have been short listed for the role of potential approved supplier of transport for the 2012 London Olympic Games. They have yet to find out if they will be successful, but are extremely excited about the prospect of providing their specialist transport solutions to Olympic visitors.
