- 3rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Collector Car Event scheduled for Sept. 23-25, 2010
- SPEED will broadcast nearly 22 hours of live, high-definition TV coverage
- Hundreds of collector cars set to cross the block during three days of auction action
Hundreds of classics, Hot Rods, Resto-Mods and muscle cars are set to take center stage in Las Vegas during the 3rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Thursday, Sept. 23, to Saturday, Sept. 25. Founded in 1971, the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company will kick-off its year-long 40th anniversary celebration with three days of “No Reserve” auction action, including exhibitor and sponsor activities for visitors of all ages.
Through its exclusive relationship with SPEED, the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas event will be televised to a national audience with nearly 22 hours of coverage. SPEED will broadcast live in HD from the main auction arena from 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, and Friday, Sept. 24; and from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25. All broadcasts are scheduled for Pacific Daylight Time.
“Being back in Las Vegas will be very exciting this year,” said Craig Jackson, chairman/CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “The 3rd annual Las Vegas auction will be an engaging event filled with more activities scheduled throughout the week for people to participate. Not only will we be surrounded by some of the best entertainment in the world, Barrett-Jackson partnered with MGM Resorts International this year to provide five days of REVVED activities set to take place at various MGM Resorts properties, including a spa excursion, shopping adventures, a golf tournament, concerts, a wine auction, car art exhibits and much more.”
Barrett-Jackson will kick-off the automotive lifestyle event with its 3rd Annual Cruise-In at Gaudin Ford on Saturday, Sept. 18, followed by the Road Rally beginning at Fairway Chevrolet and traveling down the Las Vegas Strip, on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
