Gtahotels.com Celebrates Rebranding with Contest to Name New Mascot

NEW YORK, NEW YORK–(Marketwire – Nov. 26, 2010) – Gtahotels.com, a one-stop discount global travel service, is counting down the days until its rebranding is complete. Gtahotels will become DHR Discounted Hotel Reservations. Part of the name change is the unveiling of a new mascot, the ladybird (ladybug). DHR is launching a global contest to find a name for the loveable mascot. The winner will receive a free hotel stay redeemable for up to USD 1,000.

The premier global discount travel site, Gtahotels.com will be known as DHR Discount Hotel Reservations starting December 1, 2010. As part of the rebranding process, the company unveiled its new mascot, a ladybird (ladybug). Currently nameless, the site is launching a contest to find the perfect name. The contest page is on Facebook. The contest winner will be announced on the Facebook page on November 30, 2010.

To enter the contest, participants simply need to “Like” the DHR.com Facebook page and enter a name on the Wall.

The reasoning behind the rebranding is to provide visitors with a more complete online experience. The name change to DHR Discounted Hotel Reservations from Gtahotels removes any doubt as to what the site offers.

“There have been and still are many companies trading with similar trade names to GTA but with the global services that we offer and in particular our discounted hotel rates, we felt that the name DHR Discounted Hotel Reservations spells out our main distinctive feature in 3 short letters,” says a DHR representative.

DHR Discount Hotel Reservations will continue to provide deeply discounted rates on resorts, hotels, tours and other travel activities. Visitors to the site can expect a “Pay at Hotel” option, trip advisor hotel reviews, the option to book a hotel transfer as well as city guides and useful travel tips. Come December, visitors will also enjoy a customer loyalty program, enhanced indexing and online one way or round trip transfers. Although there are many great changes, DHR will incorporate many of the same features, including a dedicated 24/7 customer service team, the option to pay in advance, group bookings and regular special offers.
