The Transat Holidays Vacationer Survey**, conducted by Ipsos Descarie for Transat Holidays, revealed that 77% of Canadians would leave their current position to accept a once-in-a-lifetime paid opportunity to travel for a year. The leader in Canada’s holiday travel industry, Transat Holidays will pay one English-speaking and one French-speaking Vacationer to travel for one year and report back on their adventures to a global audience via blogs, photo diaries and video up-dates.

Do you have the qualifications? Transat Holidays is seeking a dynamic person with a keen sense of adventure who is an excellent communicator, passionate traveller and an avid user of social media. True multi-taskers, applicants are equally comfortable at a wine tasting at a French vineyard as they are snorkelling above the glorious coral reef of Cancun, Mexico.
The two selected candidates will visit 12 destinations in 1 year, and share their adventures by posting online videos and blogs. Compensation will include a competitive salary, with all travel and destination expenses paid including transportation, hotel, meals, excursions and travel insurance for the duration of the contract. College or university degree is a must and applicants must have a valid Canadian passport.

Interested applicants are required to create a two minute or less video application in English or French explaining why they are uniquely qualified for the job and profiling a local tourist attraction. The search is only open until November 7, 2010 and candidates are required to complete an application form and upload their CV and video to www.vacationer.transatholidays.com.
Transat Holidays will select ten English-speaking and ten French-speaking candidates and Canadians will have the opportunity to vote online for their favourite submission. All candidates will participate in an interview selection process. On December 7, 2010, one English-speaking and one French-speaking Canadian will be selected and the one-year contract will commence January 2011.

- When asked to choose the top three types of occasions you travel for, Canadians selected:
